Windows 11 February 2025 Update (KB5051987) Brings Major File Explorer and System Issues.

A recent update released by Microsoft for Windows 11 version 24H2 on February 11, 2025, introduced issues affecting File Explorer, rendering it unusable for some users. The KB5051987 patch, released a few days ago, aimed to enhance security and add features like One Drive integration. However, many users have reported problems such as crashes, File Explorer malfunctions, installation failures, camera functionality issues, the taskbar other UI elements and performance degradation in File Explorer following this update.

But some users have found that clearing File Explorer’s history can resolve issues to do this, open control panel in the right top search for ‘File Explorer Options’ when click the open new popup navigate to General menu > privacy > click the CLEAN Button.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, you may need to uninstall the problematic updates. Navigate to the solution for further assistance.

Recommendation Solution: until new updates available or fix this issue annulment’s from Microsoft.

Uninstall Latest Updates:  Go to settings >

Windows Updates > Update History > scroll down find the uninstall updates Option >  Wit for the Loading and find the KB5051987 – click on the Uninstall,

 Select ‘Uninstall’

And then restart your system after the uninstallation is complete.
